I should not have been forced to sleep in my truck due to my age.… It’s a policy that is just as immoral as the no colored allowed policies that were commonplace years ago. Why am I treated as a substandard citizen and declined a roof over my head? And don’t give me the 20 year olds are immature and trash hotel rooms spiel, because if you exchanged the age for a sex or race suddenly it’s very illegal. I work all over Texas and Oklahoma, and the number of times I’ve been forced to sleep in my truck even though I have more than enough to pay for a room and a spotless record. Why is it, then, that when I attempted to book a room with you, at 10 at night, tired from work, and eager for a shower, that due to my age being 20 I was declined a room and forced to sleep in my truck in the parking lot? More and more hotels are adopting this extremely immoral and discriminatory policy. I pay my taxes, vote, and abide by the law. I own my own company, with people on my payroll. I am a traveling worker, who builds pools.
